“It’s like life is a giant weenie roast, and I’m the biggest weenie!”
As a company that is highly experienced in sass and fun, and encourages humans to be as awesome as possible we are rooting for you!
And obviously by we I mean ME. I'm the one doing the rooting. There's one friggen' person in this company. The jig is up.
Consider Rose Nylund's quote some motivation for you as we ease into 2020. I know some folx may have a challenging time moving into the new year, especially if 2019 was a complete (or partial) dumpster fire. Everyone is all about this "New Year, New Me!" hoopla (which I totally support, beeteedubs [BTWs.])
What about those of us who still feel a little held back by events or mistakes of 2019?
Here is a little nugget of encouragement that Rose Nylund would likely give, in addition to encouraging all the weenie-ness in 2020!
You are not the mistake[s] you made yesterday, last year or twenty years ago.
Maybe you didn't have all the information you needed to make a better decision.
Perhaps you were emotional, angry and/or impulsive at that moment.
Maybe it actually was the right long term decision but short term, it royally sucks.
Or perhaps you were just a giant turd on that particular day.
In the end it doesn't matter because it happened but for the love of all that is holy, please stop hanging on to that and let yourself move forward. You don't need to punish yourself for mistakes, especially if there is a helpful takeaway.
The only result of the mistake you made is learning and growth. That's literally it. There is no other way to go. The sky is not going to fall down, your life will not end here and that misstep does not define who you are. The mistake is its own entity: a mere building block of who you are and it's still drying.
...so give it a minute to dry, you impatient loon! And in the meantime, just try to be the biggest weenie you can possibly be!
With warmth and gusto,
